The Colors of a Life (Choka)

Free use image from Valiphotos on Pixabay

the leaves are changing
as they do every autumn
to eternity

find inspiration
in the place where I now live
not intuitive

I find surprises
things and events undesired
disappointment comes

people say it's smart
forever follow your gut
I reach for candy

colors of the day
weave into the knot of tears
wrap around my heart
