Uncle Sam put his hand in my bag
Saying, "I'll just grab a bit of this swag."
If anyone else swiped my cabbage
In a manner so savage
To the hoosegow they'd surely be dragged.

Yes, I'm doing my taxes.
Yes, it makes me grouchy.
Smiling at your attitude.
ReplyDeleteThank you. It's always a good time for a limerick, I say.
DeleteThis is quite a change of pace from the previous post. Nobody likes doing their taxes but I console myself with the knowledge that some of my money is used for the good of others.

I'm a million different people from one day to the next.
DeleteI actually do have a sense of humor. It's probably kind of obscure.
My taxes are done, now to help the kids with their's!

That's nice of you. :-)
DeleteLike the everyday weirdo I can be at times, I did my taxes in early February. It was something I could do that was productive and sit on my rump at the same time. I usually get a refund in that I have no dependents on my W-4 forms. This year, I had to pay extra. BooHoo.
ReplyDeleteThat's not being a weirdo, it's smart.
DeleteEvery year I say I'm going to get the taxes done early.
Every year, I don't.
