Sometimes I am pleasantly surprised. A recent pleasant surprise was the discovery of the Three Minute Club.
Created by Yuyan Huang, the Three Minute Club posts feature Yuyan's thoughts. Refreshingly, even though she is young, slim, and adorable, she isn't perfect. In the post above, she discusses recovery from cancer, rehabilitation from back and hip pain, and feelings of failure.
At the end of the post, she offers three exercises: a physical exercise, a mantra, and a mindfulness exercise. All of these are to be done for just one minute each. For someone who has great difficulty taking breaks, a mini-break of five minutes or less seems allowable, where I would at least internally tell myself that I'm not permitted a fifteen-minute break.
