Tea, Sigh, Create: February - Insecure Writers Support Group

Tea, Sigh, Create: February - Insecure Writers Support Group: February 3 question - Blogging is often more than just sharing stories. It’s often the start of special friendships and relationships.

I can definitely relate to the feeling that friendship is a tricky thing. I am by no means a social butterfly. You must be doing something right, as you have quite a few comments. I'm always surprised if I get any, honestly.

I forgot to mention intimidated. I tend to feel overwhelmed if I get numerous comments. I'm so used to being ignored that I don't know what to do when people respond to my work.

  1. Friendship is indeed tricky. And even more so for introverts like me who lack confidence.
The blogosphere has been good to me that way. I can interact at a distance and move away when I am overwhelmed. I don't usually offend people either. Another win.

    1. Back in 2005 when I first started blogging, I naively thought I'd finally find my tribe and make oodles of friends. Unfortunately, I tend to find the same kinds of problems that I do in real life. I inadvertently offend people because I'm too forward with my opinions and people just think I'm a weirdo because of all my psychological issues and a flake because of my ADHD. I keep doing it because it's the only platform I have, but it's been no less lonely for me than real life.
